Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards – Relevant Person’s Representative’s (RPR)
Action First is looking for experienced advocates and/or experienced health and social care professionals that are suitably trained to deliver relevant person representative services for clients subject to a DoLS standard authorisation.
The location of the roles will vary throughout the London boroughs as well as further afield throughout England and Wales.
The role of an RPR is crucial for the protection of a care home resident or hospital patients right to liberty and freedom. It is a role that must put the wishes, beliefs and values of the relevant person at the forefront of any decisions concerning their accommodation, care and treatment.
The role would suit qualified social workers, nurses, chartered psychologists, and occupational therapists that are trained as best interest assessors. It would also suit professionals who have undergone training in the deprivation of liberty safeguards, or would be willing to undergo this training, and maintain regular continual professional development in this area.
If you believe this is a role for you, and would like some information, please contact us to discuss.
